Back from the Grand Canyon...now this is Lodge Style
Ahhh how nice it was...a trip to the Grand Canyon. My bucket list is to visit all of the National Parks. I am a tomboy at heart and love the outdoors. My father was a fly fisherman and great outdoors man so I spent a lot of time camping as a child and those experiences formed my continued love for all things natural. I try to incorporate natural elements into my interior designs. Natural fibers, woven woods, clay and glass.
The lodge above is called El Tovar Hotel, the premier lodging facility at the Grand Canyon, opened its doors in 1905 and was most recently renovated in 2005.
In the past, the Hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others.El Tovar sits on the edge of the canyon. My husband Dwight and I sat on the porch and drank it all in.
